A Message From the Principal
Hello,
This is Sylvie Monfette, Principal of Dr. E.P. Scarlett H.S. This is to inform you of an incident that occurred today near our school. Around 11:45 a.m., one of our students, was at the shopping centre adjacent to the school and was injured by someone who does not attend our school. Our student was immediately transported to the hospital. The Police are investigating. The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. With the advice of the Calgary Police, we immediately initiated a lock down. The lock down ended after the Police gave the all-clear. Students were dismissed at the normal time. Our students and teachers cooperated with the Calgary Police and the School Administration to ensure everyone’s safety.

Parent-Teacher Interviews
On Thursday March 21st from 3:00 – 7:00 PM parent-teacher interviews will be held.
On this day we will follow a Friday schedule for classes during the day.

Important Grad Information
GRADUATION 2013
If you did not get a Graduation Information Booklet, one can be picked up at the Main Office. Most questions about Grad are answered in the booklet.
Banquet and Dance
The Grad Banquet and Dance will be held at the BMO Centre on Stampede Park on Friday, May 17, 2013. The doors will open at 6pm and the dinner will be served promptly at 7pm with a dance to follow.
To order tickets for the Banquet and Dance, pick up an ordering package from the Main Office, read it and follow the instructions.
If you do not wish to attend the Banquet but would like to attend the Dance, pick up an ordering package from the Main Office, read it and follow the instructions.
DO NOT PRINT YOUR TICKETS UNTIL AFTER MAY 7, 2013.
School Closing Exercises (Grad Ceremonies)
The School Closing Exercises will be held at the Corral on Stampede Park on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. The ceremony will begin at 9 am.
If you wish to take pictures with the student in their Graduation Gown, this must be done before the ceremony as there is no time after. There is another school coming in right after us and we must have all gowns returned and packed away before the next school arrives.
THE EXERCISES ARE AT THE CORRAL ON STAMPEDE PARK THIS YEAR. DO NOT GO TO THE UNIVERSITY.
